Duration: Full-time position
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)

Assess a portfolio of ~80 applications on various platforms to develop a modernization strategy for the portfolio.  The candidate will need to develop a roadmap from scratch working with lead architects and develop a target architecture for the applications.  This will include deciding which applications to  be:

  • Refactored
  • Merged with other applications
  • Moved to a SaaS platform
  • Rebuilt / develop new
  • Migrate to cloud as is or modified
  • Retire
  • Buy new

The PM will need to develop a resourcing plan, time line, approach, and budget estimate for implementing the plan.

The PM will need to be able to gather and manage input from various disparate user community and beneficiary stakeholders and document their requirements and goals.  The PM must be able manage the scale of the entire portfolio of 80 sub projects and able to prioritize tasks when dealing with multi priorities. This include great organizational, communications, and conflict resolution skill  as well as keeping non-technical management or stakeholders well informed.  The PM will conduct project status reporting/presentations in a regular cadence as a means to communicates progress, next step plans, issues, and risks to the stakeholder team(s). 

 This effort needs someone high energy who can sift through a lot of assessment data and can be a driver to make decisions and the project a success.  Experience managing system development in Agile model and PMP disciplines including risk management is required.  The PM should be comfortable with project management tools to track the plan and progress. 

 Domain experience in enterprise system, current micro service application architecture, AWS/ Azure cloud based architectures, SaaS based platforms, ability to identify commonality across systems, and is up to date with industry trends is a strong plus.
