At TCC, we know that having a strong company culture is paramount in sustaining the success and stability of the company, especially within the information technology industry. One of our core values – the guiding principles that dictate our behaviors and actions as a company – is supporting our local community.

Putting our values into action, last week TCC staff participated in a volunteer event at Joy’s House and we had a great time! The Joy’s House volunteer project included ground maintenance, painting and landscaping. A few staff members also did projects with the residents.

Joy’s House is an Adult Day Service that provides physical, mental and financial relief for families caring for a loved one. Joy’s House serves adults living with life-altering diagnoses and their families by providing exceptional adult day and caregiver services. Adult day services are defined by National Adult Day Service Association as “coordinated programs of professional and compassionate services for adults in a community-based group setting. Services are designed to provide social and some health services to adults who need supervised care in a safe place outside the home during the day.”

With the help of donors, partners and volunteers in our community, Joy’s House will continue to provide more than 10,500 days of service annually for adults living with a life altering diagnosis and more than 10,000 caregiving individuals in Greater Indianapolis annually. They are also working on the future of their UIndy location, their hopeful expansion to a third location in Hamilton County, and, as always, the best way to serve as many families as possible.
