Type: Contract
Duration: 1 year plus
Location: Indianapolis, IN
TCC has a client in Indianapolis working on a large software development effort. This is a long-term contract engagement with the potential for multiple one-year extension.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and executing performance runs and analyzing the results to identify performance issues
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience developing and managing the execution of performance test scripts
- 1 year experience with IBM Rational Performance Tester to develop and execute online performance tests for multiple, dynamic environments
- 1 year experience with Rational Team Concert or any other application testing and defect management software
- Experience designing performance load scenarios based on business requirements and real-world application usage patterns
- Collaborates with the application development team and technical director to update existing testing processes and define new sets of processes to be scripted
- 1 year of experience in Object Oriented Development (HTML, VB, JavaScript, Java)
- 1 year of experience developing basic SQL queries
- Experience in Oracle Database (8i, 9i, 10g or 11g)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with business requirements, functional requirements, or a business analyst background
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts is necessary
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of developers
- Ability to understand methodologies and tools used for delivery and display a passion to follow and devise processes for improving quality
- Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables
- Ability to understand requirements and turn them to useful client deliverables using a team
- Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
